Another user experienced a similar problem: this usually happen when I boot into my fedora22 system or restart it then the desktops on all of my 3 monitors go black and right-click on desktop does not bring up the menu. Also all desktop icons disappear. However the desktop panel which I only use on one of the monitor is still there. Another user experienced a similar problem: First I updated the system with no kernel update (sudo dnf -x kernel* upgrade) then restarted that it is it. The desktop on all of my 3 monitors went black and lost all desktop icons. Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates.
