Description Rich Lucente 2015-11-25 18:48:57 UTC
Description of problem:
The Army Human Resources Command customer had to recently change over 150 passwords in the password vault due to Army policy mandating periodic password updates. The current vault tooling made this quite tedious since the tool outputs what the snippets should be in the XML configuration files but those files are not updated directly. Cutting/Pasting lots of XML snippets was error-prone and time consuming.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
All released versions of EAP 6

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run vault.sh to change a password in the vault
2. Copy/Paste change into XML configuration file
3. Rinse/repeat

Actual results:
Takes a lot of time and error-prone when performing periodic password updates to the vault

Expected results:
A more streamlined process where updates are automatically stored in the XML configuration files for the application server
