Description of problem:
the GNOME Software application is calculating size (in Details section of the application) indefinitely (or at least for very long time). Screenshot attached.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.18.3

How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1. choose a program to uninstall
2. click Remove button
3. watch the Size: calculating... in Details section

Actual results:
It doesn't finish calculating the size

Expected results:
It calculates the size in a finite amount of time in few seconds

Yup, there's a lot wrong in the screenshot ...

What I think is happening is that gnome-software fails to get the details for the app, but instead of showing an error message and erroring out, it just shows a broken details page without any actual data.

If my theory holds, then it should already be fixed upstream https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-software/commit/?id=2676733be5170d72291a7de0a2413dbf017225dc
