With Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack 8, users can create and otherwise manipulate snapshots of Cinder volumes while volumes are attached to virtual machines.

For that reason, the warning in '4.1.8. Create, Clone, or Delete Volume Snapshots' of the Instances and Images Guide must be removed.
