The many ways that we refer to a "registry" are confusing.

Proposed fix:
- Figure out what means what, taking into account cross-product concerns.
- Add "registry" to the glossary.
- Include various flavors and aspects, w/ links.

This was addressed via several other docs PR since this was bug/issue was created. I am going to close this bug.
