Description of problem: Issue occurs during Evolution startup. The application window is visible but only briefly, maybe 1 second or so; not long enough for user interaction. I have been alternating between Wayland and X11 sessions, so I can help test Wayland as described here: https://fedoramagazine.org/help-fedora-test-wayland/ Currently, I have observed this issue only in Wayland sessions; however, it does not happen consistently. Lately, Evolution has been functional in a GNOME/Wayland session. According to abrt, last occurrence was about 5 days ago. Troubleshooting aside, I intend to run GNOME/Wayland sessions exclusively from now on. I will update this report within a month.
Thanks for a bug report. This is discussed upstream at [1]. Please see it for any further updates. [1] https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=758713
