Install xmoto 2. launch 3. observe Actual results: no Text in the menu therefore requires the user to guess which button does what. Expected results: helpful text on buttons ;) Additional info: I Found a Patch and a problem that claims to fix the issue: https://people.freebsd.org/~amdmi3/xmoto-fonts-rendering-fix.patch http://forum.xmoto.tuxfamily.org/index.php?topic=3989.0 I fail to build xmoto though so I can not test.
The patch didn't work for me either but the latest SVN trunk tarball does so I'll go with that.
