Description Mohammed Arafa 2015-12-25 12:00:19 UTC
Description of problem:
there must have been a recent update that broke the buffer update on kde's konsole sessions

what is happening now is that the last few lines of the console updates while the rest of the screen does not.
clear and reset may not always work.
what will work is clicking on another program, desktop etc ; that is outside of konsole and that will force konsole to update

Comment 1 Mohammed Arafa 2015-12-28 22:06:50 UTC
this is extremely irritating and inconvenient. i am unable to open vi on remote machines via konsole

Comment 2 Mohammed Arafa 2015-12-29 16:35:08 UTC
just tested xterm

seems it is isolated to konsole. perhaps this has been filed incorrectly under kernel?

Comment 3 Mohammed Arafa 2015-12-30 00:19:26 UTC
there was an update today for k5-plasma and it seems the bug has disappeared. no changelog entries related to anything like this bug

but fixed so closing it
thank you for listening
