Description of problem: scalapack/blacs are built against an old openmpi. When I build software against the new openmpi-devel-1.10.0-10.el7.x86_64 and scalapack this results in both new and old mpi libraries linked in. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): scalapack-openmpi-2.0.2-5.el7 blacs-openmpi-2.0.2-5.el7 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: $ rpm -q scalapack-openmpi scalapack-openmpi-2.0.2-5.el7.x86_64 $ rpm -q --requires scalapack-openmpi | grep "libmpi.so" libmpi.so.1()(64bit) $ yum provides "libmpi.so.1()(64bit)" ... compat-openmpi16-1.6.4-10.el7.x86_64 : Open MPI 1.6 compat library ... Expected results: blacs and scalapack use the current openmpi version. Additional info:
