Description of problem: gnome-caclulator prints GLib-CRITICAL **: g_str_has_prefix: assertion 'str != NULL' failed in Programming mode while getting root of certain numbers in HEX Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.18.2 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. execute gnome-calculator 2. switch to Programming mode and select Hexadecimal system 3. try to get sqrt B (or sqrt 8) Actual results: the application prints (gnome-calculator:23498): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_str_has_prefix: assertion 'str != NULL' failed Expected results: no critical message printed out while getting sqrt of B and 8 in Hex Additional info: The line number is different on each run. There might be also other cases where the error is printed.
