Description INMACULADA LOPEZ 2016-02-03 17:45:06 UTC
"When running an i3 5005U broadwell with kernel 2.6.32-573.7.1.el6.x86_64 some type of error in the USB makes data loss. The USB communication is a data transfer via a USB - RS485 converter that use the ftdi_sio module.

$ lsmod |grep ftdi

ftdi_sio     36199  0
usbserial    37596  1 ftdi_sio

We have also tested the same i3 hardware with the next kernels
"3.12.0-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64"
"3.13.0-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64"
"3.14.4-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64"
"3.14.6-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64"
"3.15.8-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64"
"3.16.3-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64"
and all have successfully worked so we assume to be an error in the 2.6.32-573.7.1.el6.x86_64 kernel"
