Description Adam Monsen 2004-08-23 17:11:02 UTC
I propose adding the following to /etc/screenrc:

caption always "%{wk}%?%-Lw%?%{bw}%n*%f %t%?(%u)%?%{wk}%?%+Lw %=
%{mk}@%H %{yk}%D %{ck}%M%{wk} %{ck}%d %{gk}%c"

That should be one long line.

This enables a useful status bar as the last line of the screen
session that looks like:

0$ bash 1-$ bash 2*$ bash @mikey Mon Aug 23 10:10

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
screen-4.0.2-2

This change is probably appropriate as a site setup or user setup, but i do not
think it is really good idea to make this default. I've added it to the
screenrc file, but commented out, so users who want this feature can uncomment
it easily.
