From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9 Description of problem: My ISP is not happy with me, I've downloaded fedora core 2 DVD-iso several times from mirrors around europe the last few days(closest location) but on every accasion the mediacheck fails stating possible corruption of the downloaded iso, the only time I did not get the failure is if I download directly from the master server at red hat am I the only one who encountered this problem? new dvd R or new dvd rw or wiped dvdrw nothing makes a difference this suggest to me that there apperently are minute diffrences between the mirrors and the master version. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): general mediacheck on install How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.download dvd-iso from mirror 2.burn to dvd 3.reboot and do mediacheck Actual Results: mediacheck fails corrupted packages Expected Results: mirror should be identical to master Additional info:
Some mirrors do not properly support downloading > 2 GB isos such as the DVD ISO. I suggest contacting the mirror admins directly for the mirrors where you had problems with the ISO as I have no control over the mirrors :)
