RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description mxie@redhat.com 2016-03-07 10:23:05 UTC
Description of problem:
Remove reference info about --dcpath in virt-v2v manual page

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
libvirt-1.3.1-1.el7.x86_64
libguestfs-1.32.2-6.el7.x86_64
virt-v2v-1.32.2-6.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Check virt-v2v manual page:
--dcpath Folder/Datacenter
NB: You don't need to use this parameter if you have
           libvirt ≥ 1.2.20.

For VMware vCenter, override the "dcPath=..." parameter used to
select the datacenter. Virt-v2v can usually calculate this from
the "vpx://" URI, but if it gets it wrong, then you can override it
using this setting. Go to your vCenter web folder interface, eg.
           "https://vcenter.example.com/folder" (without a trailing slash),
and examine the "dcPath=" parameter in the URLs that appear on this
           page.

2.There is dcpath info in virt-v2v manual page, but--dcpath is not needed for RHEL 7.3 users

Actual results:
As above description

Expected results:
Remove --dcpath info in virt-v2v manaul page

I can reproduce this issue with build:
libguestfs-1.32.5-5.el7.x86_64
virt-v2v-1.32.5-5.el7.x86_64

Then try to verify this bug with new build:
virt-v2v-1.32.5-9.el7.x86_64
libguestfs-1.32.5-9.el7.x86_64

Steps:
1.Check virt-v2v manual page:

Result: cannot find content about 'dcpath'.

2.Also check virt-v2v help information.
# virt-v2v --help
....
--dcpath path Override dcPath (for vCenter)
  --dcPath path -"-

So rjones, does this means option has been disabled in help, thanks?

1.
Have confirmed with you via irc, so remove 'needinfo' flag, thanks.

 -"- is ditto mark.
2.

Since '--dcpath' has remove from manual page, and cannot remove from help output now, move this bug from ON_QA to VERIFIED
