Description of problem: Xfce power-manager starts in MATE session because of missing MATE entry in %config %{_sysconfdir}/xdg/autostart/%{name}.desktop For this reasons several xfce applications are active in mate session. And rebuild the package for all branches, please. I guess this can be done in upstream too, as MATE is in all major distros. Thank you
Filed upstream bug: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12506 Will look at a local patch, but it seems upstream is very close to a new release, so perhaps they will get this into that in the next few days.
Thx Kevin, i guess the same can be done for power-manager-settings, no need to display this in mate menus. I will add this to upstream report. (In reply to Kevin Fenzi from comment #1) > Will look at a local patch, but it seems upstream is very close to a new > release, so perhaps they will get this into that in the next few days. yeah, no rush, it's much better if upstream do this.
Can we add upstream fixes as patches for f24 before we get in release freeze? And please add it to other branches as well.
I don't think that we can expect a quick xfce release because or their migration to gtk3.
xfce4-power-manager already has been ported to gtk3. ;) Yeah, I can look at an update with this change...
