Description of problem:
When I double-click on a downloaded RPM file, Gnome tells me "there is
no action associated with this file". What happened to packages
automatically unpacking on double-click?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Downlaod an RPM file
2. Double-Click the file
3.

Actual Results: Get the box from Gnome asking me to associate a
program or application to the file.

Expected Results: The package should unpack and install.

Additional info:

Comment 1 Bob Wainscott 2004-09-06 06:02:00 UTC
Also does this in KDE as well.

Comment 2 Jeff Johnson 2004-09-06 13:22:13 UTC
The *.rpm extension is IANA registered to Real Audio, not RPM,
and so mime type association between file and application
breaks.

WONTFIX should be taken as CANTFIX.
