For the default background to change we also need to update this package. This is critical due to blocker criteria for Alpha.

Created attachment 1138612 [details] Patch to enable F24 theme This spec patch fixes the issue.
Note, this only adjusts GNOME and the desktops that use -compat. It doesn't appear to fix KDE but Rex Dieter is working on that currently. N.B. Rex only found out about the new background recently, and is doing heroics here.
+1 blocker
Well heroics are nice, but this seems to happen *every damn cycle*. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, at this point, that the backgrounds need updating before Alpha.

Discussed at today's blocker review meeting [1]. Voted as AcceptedBlocker (Alpha) - clear violation of "The default desktop background must be different from that of the last two stable releases." [1] https://meetbot-raw.fedoraproject.org/fedora-blocker-review/2016-03-21

Fix looks good in Alpha-1.7, Workstation live gets the new background.
Mate-1.7 has still got the F23 background.
Yep, sorry, I've just read comment #3. Please disregard #12 then. (In reply to Paul W. Frields from comment #3) > Note, this only adjusts GNOME and the desktops that use -compat. Giulio: it would be awesome, though, if you could file a separate bug for every non-blocking desktop that's still affected in F24 Alpha 1.7. They're non-blocking but we'd still like them to be fixed asap, of course.
