Description of problem: Recently compiz started to segfault quite often. While it was quite stable (no hang during days/weeks of usage), now it segfaults few times per day, usually with the following backtrace: #0 0x00007ff425049c46 in theme_get_style () at /lib64/libmarco-private.so.0 #1 0x00007ff42505057b in meta_theme_get_frame_borders () at /lib64/libmarco-private.so.0 #2 0x000055e04437f124 in meta_update_border_extents (text_height=15) at gtk-window-decorator.c:6210 #3 0x000055e04437ccf7 in main (screen=<optimized out>) at gtk-window-decorator.c:7262 #4 0x000055e04437ccf7 in main (argc=2, argv=0x7ffc32a37328) at gtk-window-decorator.c:7488 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): compiz-0.8.12.2-1.fc23 How reproducible: Often Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start/stop applications, open/close windows, especially seamonkey under xfce Actual results: Segfaults quite often Expected results: No segfaults Additional info: I tried just to rebuild compiz and it seems that the problem is gone. I am running it for few days now without hang, but it may be only consequence, and I am keeping testing.
Oh, you mean this version from update-testing is broken ? https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2016-4361574184 And a rebuild fixed the issue?

Oh sorry, I think the affected version was: compiz-0.8.12-1.fc23 I am installing the version from testing (compiz-0.8.12.2-1.fc23) now and I will give it a test for few days. If OK, I will close this. Sorry for bothering you.

I have been testing it for few days. It hung only once for me and it seems the hang wasn't related to this problem (different backtrace).
