Description of problem: Deleting a PersistentVolumeClaim and then creating a new one with the same name before the PV is in Available state again results in 'Released' PV. This causes infinite loop where OSE scrubs the PV, but it is never marked 'Available' and another round of scrubbing. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): atomic-openshift-3.2.0.4-1.git.0.4717e23.el7.x86_64 How reproducible: Every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create an application with PVC 2. Delete the PVC 3. Create a new PVC with the same name Actual results: OpenShift scrubs the original PV, but does not mark it 'Available' Expected results: OpenShift scrubs the original PV and marks it 'Available' Additional info: It's sometimes tricky to create the PVC in the right moment, so generate some data on the volume first (so scrubbing takes a while).
I am looking into reproducing this, as nobody seems to be working on this and Andy is on PTO today.
As per Andy this bz is dupe of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1310587, and should be addressed by https://github.com/openshift/origin/pull/8100 .
