Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description John Mitsch 2016-04-04 15:22:26 UTC
Created attachment 1143377 [details]
traceback with task details

Description of problem:

Error on content_view publish during Actions::Candlepin::Environment::SetContent see more info in attachment

How reproducible:

This is not a consistent error, it does not happen on every content view publish.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a content view
2.Attach repos and publish
3.Delete repos and publish

I am not sure what exactly I did to create this bug - here are the repos I was using on the content view

- sat-rhel-7-tools
- zoo
- dsc (puppet module)
- an OStree repo

Actual results:

Content View publish task errored

Expected results:

Content View publish task is published without errors

Additional info:

Comment 1 John Mitsch 2016-04-04 15:26:10 UTC
hitting resume on the task let it finish without error

Comment 3 jcallaha 2016-04-06 15:08:04 UTC
I've recreated by removing all content from a content view, or composite content view, and attempting to republish.

The error i received was "Runtime Error null at org.candlepin.model.AbstractHibernateCurator.delete:326".

Trying to resume the task on a composite CV resulted in another error: "Runtime Error null at org.candlepin.model.AbstractHibernateCurator.delete:326"

A third attempt at resuming completed the task successfully.

For a non-composite CV, only 1 resume was needed to complete the task.

Verified in Satellite 6.2 Beta Snap 15.

The issue is no longer present in the latest snap. All previous conditions do not present the error.
