Comment 1 Jarvis 2016-04-15 04:46:04 UTC
I am trying to check the test results file: /var/log/rhcert/runs /1/ hwcert/video/output.log, found the following error:

Glxgears - display: 2
Error: couldn 't open display: 2

We tried to manually start the glxgears - display: 2, the same failure, but if we noted that the video.Py script file self.display = "2" is changed to the self.display = "0", the video will be test PASS.

This change is reliable on the video test?

Please check the attachment test log:

Hi Sir.
For this issue. Please kindly confirm.
Is it required when officially certified?

Comment 5 Jarvis 2016-05-05 09:13:19 UTC
Hi Sir,

I check Redhat web the IBM Power System - S822LC (8335-GCA) has been Certified for RHEL V7.2 ppx64le.
RHEL 7.2 Certified publish link:
https://access.redhat.com/ecosystem/hardware/2081193

IPM Product publish link:
http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/power/hardware/s812l-s822l/index.html

And the current project is similar with the S822LC.

Thanks,

Can we retry this with 7.3 beta? There's been at least one change to the configuration code that might affect this.

Comment 22 Jarvis 2016-08-09 03:07:34 UTC
Hi Adam,
Where can I get the 7.3 beta version IMG? I have to look at the Product Software that not listed here.

Thanks!

Hi Jarvis,

as 7.3 is already GA you should have it as part of your subscription.

Hi Tom,

Just we have tried this video test using the RHEL7.3 ppc64le GA, this issue still exists. But if we performed manually the 'glxgears -display :0' command to be successful in the SUT.
The fail information as below:
=============================
The X Server Test
Running: xinit -- :2
process 17823
glxgears -display :2
Error: couldn't open display :2

Error: glxgears failed, return code: 255
Killing xinit PID 17823
FAIL
============================

Any suggestion?
Thanks,

Jarvis do you have rhel7.4 early composes (Beta or any Snapshots)? If so would you mind checking it again with newest rhel?

Thanks
