Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2016:2289 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE libsoup bug fix update 2016-11-03 13:37:23 UTC

Description Milan Crha 2016-04-19 12:22:54 UTC
When there is available /usr/bin/ntlm_auth (provided by samba-winbind-clients package), there is an issue connect to a server (Exchange) using NTLM authentication, because the samba update (4.2.10-6) uncovered a bug in libsoup. This libsoup bug influences evolution-ews users. The corresponding Fedora bug report is:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1327072
and the GNOME bug is:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=765106

The workaround is either to remove samba-winbind-clients or rename /usr/bin/ntlm_auth binary to some other name, thus libsoup cannot find it. Any of these changes require evolution processes restart (or the whole machine re-login).
