Created attachment 1151199 [details] Patch that suppresses flicker in GNOME on Wayland sessions Description of problem: When runnning a recent Fedora version as GNOME on Wayland guest in GNOME Boxes, steady flicker which also affects mouse focus, renders Wayland sessions unusable. This issue was originally reported in bug 1266484 for Fedora 23 but the patch implemented in the latest Fedora 24 build does not fix the issue - at least for Fedora 24. However, the original modification suggested in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1266484#c7 did suppress the flickering successfully and was attached as a patch for Fedora 24, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=1139230. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): spice-gtk3-0.31-2.fc24 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start GNOME on Wayland session. Actual results: Steady flicker renders the GNOME on Wayland session unusable. Expected results: GNOME on Wayland session behaves as expected. Additional info: None
