Description Russell Tweed 2016-04-28 02:45:41 UTC
Description of problem:

After successfully completing discovery, an Overcloud deploy fails with the following on each node's console:

http://192.0.2.1/8088/boot.ipxe... ok
inc: command not found
Could not boot image: Exec format error (http://ipxe.org/2e022001)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

openstack-ironic-common-4.2.2-4.el7ost.noarch

How reproducible:

Attempt to deploy an Overcloud

Reference the following tripleo bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/tripleo/+bug/1507738

...which in turn appears to be caused by this commit:

http://git.openstack.org/cgit/openstack/ironic/commit/?id=1c28eb79a5d1b25fb685e2f48449c51e905766b5

It appears that this is fixed properly in Ironic 4.3.0, with a backport of the fix to Ironic 4.2.3.

The iPXE ROM should be updated by now in OSP
