The following options, which allow users to control migration of virtual machines that use SCSI reservation on VirtIO SCSI direct LUN disks, are now available in the 'New Virtual Disk' window: New Virtual Disk -> Direct LUN -> Interface: VirtIO SCSI Enable SCSI Pass-Through Allow Privileged SCSI I/O (available if the above is selected) This content should also note that enabling SCSI passthrough on a direct LUN disk with a VirtIO SCSI interface automatically adds SCSI discard support (explained here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1017284#c11)
Assigning to Tahlia for review.
There's also a check box called Using SCSI Reservation that un-greys when Allow Privileged SCSI I/O is selected, but which I cannot select.
Confirmed regarding 'Enable SCSI Pass-Through' functionality. However, I don't see 'Using SCSI Reservation' that, as mentioned in comment #2 by Tahlia, is un-greys when enabling SCSI Pass-Through and selection 'Allow Privileged SCSI I/O'. 'Using SCSI Reservation' enables admin mark whether SCSI reservation is used when creating Direct Lun. When migrating a VM, if SCSI reservation is marked, operation fails. See BZ 1159420.

I didn't document Using SCSI Reservation because, although it ungreyed when I clicked Allow Privileged SCSI I/O, it stayed unticked when I clicked it. Is there anything else that needs to be set to allow me to tick that check box?

Make sure the disk interface is VirtIO-SCSI

Using SCSI Reservation is ungreyed, but nothing happens when I click on it; no tick appears. Is there something else I'm missing?
