Comment 7 cshao 2016-08-08 06:15:11 UTC
The plymouth show as "Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization" is not unacceptable,
Raise severity to high due to getting close GA phase.

Comment 8 Ryan Barry 2016-08-10 14:49:41 UTC
I can't reproduce this, but I suspect it's due to the initramfs regeneration after rebooting.

Can you please provide a test system?

Comment 10 Fabian Deutsch 2016-08-11 06:41:04 UTC
This can actually be a race.

Can you try to reproduce this on RHEL - I'd expect that there is at least a small difference there as well between the splash screens.

I have to re-open this bug due to no such issue on RHEL(#c11), it is rhvh only issue.

Test version:
RHVH-4.0-20160907.4-RHVH-x86_64-dvd1.iso
imgbased-0.8.4-1.el7ev.noarch

Test result:
1. The first reboot: plymouth show as "Red Hat Virtualization Host 4.0(el7.2) dracut-033-360.el7_2.1 (Initramfs)"
2. The second reboot: plymouth show as "Red Hat Virtualization

I can't reproduce in:

    - redhat-virtualization-host-4.0-20170104.1.x86_64.liveimg.squashfs
    - redhat-virtualization-host-4.1-20170111.0.x86_64.liveimg.squashfs

Moving to ON_QA for double check.

Comment 17 cshao 2017-02-06 07:14:37 UTC
Test version:
redhat-virtualization-host-4.1-20170202.01.

Test steps:
1. Install RHVH
2. Reboot RHV-H twice.
3. Focus on plymouth.

Test result:
Plymouth show the correct name.
So the bug is fixed, change bug status to VERIFIED.
