Description of problem: The current release of the openstack-gnocchi-common in the Mitaka release repository still has the same configuration file from the Liberty release. As far as I can tell this is because the configuration file was imported into the package repository statically. See https://github.com/openstack-packages/gnocchi/blob/rdo-mitaka/gnocchi.conf.sample. Can this be changed to act like the Ceilometer spec file and generate the configuration when the rpm is built?
submitted patch to rdo packaging: http://review.rdoproject.org/r/1075
This bug is against a Version which has reached End of Life. If it's still present in supported release (http://releases.openstack.org), please update Version and reopen.
Your version selector for RDO does not have Mitaka in it. Is Mitaka End of Life? Plus I can't update the target release field, somehow it set it to Kilo when I switched from Red Hat OpenStack to RDO.
FYI this should now be merged in upstream packaging: https://review.rdoproject.org/r/#/c/1133/

TBI fails to build in CBS http://cbs.centos.org/kojifiles/work/tasks/4470/94470/build.log
(In reply to Alan Pevec from comment #10) > TBI fails to build in CBS > http://cbs.centos.org/kojifiles/work/tasks/4470/94470/build.log What branch is that running against? Note that the gnocchi-config-generator.conf path is different between mitaka and trunk.
Available for testing from RDO Mitaka testing repo http://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/7/cloud/x86_64/openstack-mitaka/
