Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 24-final by Fedora user satellit using the blocker tracking app because: needed to run non-blocking DE sugar in f24 workstation
NACK. This isn't a freeze exception of any means, we don't ship this as part of SoaS. It's an extra nice to have tool but it's not core in any way.
Is gnome workstation running in Waylang or Xorg mode?
I just installed sugar-runner in f24 cinnamon 3.0.6 works fine

It's about Workstation, not cinnamon. I suspect sugar-runner won't work when workstation is using Wayland, but should work fine with Xorg. That is sort of expected hence the question.

That is sort > of expected hence the question. bios boot does work with f24 workstation f24 NUC i5 running f24 with fully updated f24 workstation in Oracle VirtualBox with sugar-runer and sugar-desktop installed. Have to do a bare metal install to test Wayland - next

> sugar-runner does not start in gnome-wayland f24 workstation fully updated That is to be expected, it's not supported to run old Xorg DE envs in a window in Wayland, it should run just fine in an Xorg session though (basically like that of other desktops).
