Description Aaron Weitekamp 2016-05-04 15:00:13 UTC
Description of problem:
I have a docker image built locally that I want to run on OpenShift. I expect to be able to push the image to the integrated registry (not the docker hub).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
v3.2.0.40

Expected results:
I want context help text in the console:

1. In "Image Streams" information for how to add an image. A button, flyover and/or text underneath the list of image stream would really help.
2. In "Add to project" (I haven't found what I'm looking for) commands that show me how to tag and push my image.
3. General information in About for how to login to the registry

Comment 1 Jessica Forrester 2016-05-09 15:30:58 UTC
This should be significantly improved with the planned integrations https://trello.com/c/RXZJJKAK

Comment 2 Jessica Forrester 2016-08-03 14:13:48 UTC
There has been some improvement here with the new image tag page that came in, but we still dont know in the console what the registry's hostname is to be able to direct people to how to push/pull

Comment 4 Jessica Forrester 2016-10-26 14:10:05 UTC
This is dependent on an RFE against the platform mgmt team

With the introduction of OpenShift 4, Red Hat has delivered or roadmapped a substantial number of features based on feedback by our customers. Many of the enhancements encompass specific RFEs which have been requested, or deliver a comparable solution to a customer problem, rendering an RFE redundant.

This bz (RFE) has been identified as a feature request not yet planned or scheduled for an OpenShift release and is being closed.

If this feature is still an active request that needs to be tracked, Red Hat Support can assist in filing a request in the new JIRA RFE system, as well as provide you with updates as the RFE progress within our planning processes. Please open a new support case: https://access.redhat.com/support/cases/#/case/new

As the new Jira RFE system is not yet public, Red Hat Support can help answer your questions about your RFEs via the same support case system.
