Description benborbah 2016-05-10 06:00:11 UTC
Description of problem:
system works fine until locking screen, when i try to wake up by moving mouse or press any key, the screen not response and disk io light keep flashing. After a long while, the login screen comes back but system becomes very slow. this problem can be resolve by reboot, and can be reproduced.

after this issue happened, i found below message in Xorg.0.log:

[ 853.258] (II) SYN_DROPPED event from "PixArt USB Optical Mouse" - some input events have been lost.

This issue comes with upgrading to 4.4.7-300.fc23.x86_64, and now i upgraded to 4.4.8-300.fc23.x86_64, the issue is still on.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
hardware: Lenovo G470 laptop
OS: Fedora 23 4.4.8-300.fc23.x86_64

How reproducible:
There are two way to reproduce this issue:
1. My laptop has switchable graphics, there is a bios configuration item for that. when i set this item's value to "switchable graphics", the issue is on. But when i change the value to "UMA graphic", the issue is gone.

2. as above, set the value to "UMA graphic", and connect another monitor on my laptop, config multi screen with "xrandr", the issue is back.

Hi,

I've just fixed what I believe is the same issue for Fedora-24. I've started a scratch-build of
xorg-x11-drv-intel with the fixes in for Fedora-23, which you can find here:

http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=14027416

Can you please download and install the rpm from that build, and let me know if that fixes things for you ?

Thanks & Regards,

Hans
