At the question:
Enter root password that will be used for the engine appliance (leave it empty to skip):

the text input field doesn't mask the password.

Test version:
rhev-hypervisor7-ng-4.0-20160527.0
cockpit-ovirt-dashboard-0.10.1-0.0.1.el7ev.noarch

Test steps:
1. Install rhev-hypervisor7-ng-4.0-20160527.0
2. Enter cockpit
3. Enter Hosted Engine page to start setup
4. Check the root password field

Test result:
1. The root password is masked as "......" now.

So this issue is fixed in cockpit-ovirt-dashboard-0.10.1-0.0.1.el7ev.noarch now.

oVirt 4.0.0 has been released, closing current release.
