Description of problem: The Content View Errata by ID Filter does not paginate results and thus takes many many seconds to load the full errata list. Note that when we move to paginated results it is very important to continue to support true select all (and not just select all visible). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 6.2 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a content view 2. Add a rhel server repo to it (or any repo with lots of errata) 3. Create a filter of type 'errata by id' 4. Go to the 'add' tab of that filter Actual results: Very slow to return errata Expected results: Should return a paged list very quickly, but still be able to perform a search, select all, and have ALL results added. Per 6.3 planning, moving out non acked bugs to the backlog
Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/16329 from this bug
There are a couple of other bugs on this pane which may be related to the performance related to the non-paging currently provided. When solving this one, it might be good to see if it also addresses bug 1343709 and bug 1343727.
Thank you for your interest in Satellite 6. We have evaluated this request, and we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this, please feel free to contact Rich Jerrido or Bryan Kearney. Thank you.
This should be resolved in Satellite 6.11 on the new CV UI. Please reopen if you notice this on the new UI.
