Description of problem:- Long version (plus rants): http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=309946 Short version: gnome-themes-standard dropped Metacity theme long time ago, but this caused other window managers trouble to make the Adwaita theme working for them. Also if you look up Google, you will notice almost exclusively ALL solutions for Adwaita theme to work properly under spins and flavours other than GNOME3 point to install gnome-themes-standard which everybody (GNOME3 haters) want to keep away even though Adwaita doesn't depend(-ency) on gnome-themes-standard. Not to mention most reports came from Ubuntu users. Because of this, I suggest to add back Metacity theme under adwaita-gtk2-theme instead, no more depending on gnome-themes-standard. How reproducible:- For one such example, just fire up MATE Compiz Live ISO and choose Adwaita theme from Appearance settings.
Sorry, gnome-themes-standard is a package that ships GNOME theming and isn't intended for MATE. Please ask the MATE people to ship the theming that their components need.

Our tool mate-appearance-properties expected 3 components from a theme other wise you see a big question mark which indicates that the theme is broken. One expected component is a metacity theme (version 2). Honestly why should i ship a metacity theme for adwaita theme? I'm maintaining MATE not gnome :-)
