Does this happen after Boxes has been running for a while/after you have been interacting with multiple VMs? Or does it also happen when Boxes was started recently?
This happened after Boxes has been running and I launch Windows update in guest system.
This series https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/spice-devel/2016-June/030564.html fixes a thread leak in the USB redirection code, since the crash in this bug happens in g_thread_new() with a "Resource not available" error message, I'm hoping this means that a thread cannot be created because too many were already created, and that this series will help with that.

Which spicee-gtk version are you currently using? Make sure it's spice-gtk-0.32-2.fc24
$ rpm -qa | grep spice spice-gtk3-0.32-2.fc24.x86_64 spice-glib-0.32-2.fc24.x86_64 spice-vdagent-0.16.0-3.fc24.x86_64 spice-server-0.12.8-1.fc24.x86_64
To make things trickier, do you know if when you started the Boxes instance that crashed, this spice-gtk version was already installed? Otherwise this means Boxes was using an older instance of spice-gtk while running.
I've been hit with this bug several times in the past couple of days. I was not interactively using the VM, but it was a Win7 VM running updates -- and the last crash completely corrupted the VM rendering it unable to properly boot. Lovely. I have no USB devices redirected, and am using spice-gtk3-0.32-2.fc4 on a fully up-to-date F24 AMD box.
There is a process-lifetime memory leak cause by the launch of new thread to gather net stat and io stat. The thread are joined only when the application is closed. Created attachment 1220509 [details] Tentative fix Work for me.
Ah great, thanks for the investigation and the patch! Would you mind attaching it to the upstream bug report I opened yesterday? The bug link is https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=774414
This message is a reminder that Fedora 24 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 2 (two) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 24. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '24'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 24 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 24 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-08-08. Fedora 24 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
