Description of problem:
we would like to have new system dashboard for the admin portal. the dashboards should give the user an option for an overview on the system status, with the ability to dig in and analyse problematic areas in the system.

We're just few days from having a fully working alpha version.

We've decided to move the git repo from GitHub to oVirt's gerrit:

  git://gerrit.ovirt.org/ovirt-engine-dashboard

Most UI (plugin) infra changes needed to support the new dashboard have been merged.

Dashboard data will be provided via dedicated servlet deployed on Engine.

Do we have a tracker bug for this? Or is current bug all we have?

Is this one the Bug-Url for [1]? If not, does [1] has its own bug and current should depend on it?

Does it depend on bug 1318665?

Does it have a feature page?

That's the bug indeed.
The patch is draft, so the bug wasn't in it, but will be added.

You can see the details in [2]. The requirements kept on changing so we haven't had the ability to create a feature page.

Done, we have a first version working with data warehouse.

Done, see the announcement on devel list.

That ^^ (dashboard backend part) is provided via https://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/c/54058/

It supports sending real data (default, requires data warehouse) or fake data (useful for development).

I would like to use it's content, but we need to make sure it's up to date and feature page contains only the technical data needed without any additions.

Moving from 4.0 alpha to 4.0 beta since 4.0 alpha has been already released and bug is not ON_QA.

Current build process summary:

- we have a fresh RPM built by Jenkins after merging every patch (Jenkins keeps the last 20 RPMs)

- Dashboard RPM is published to ovirt-master-snapshot repo [1], which collects recent (master) builds of all oVirt projects

To install latest Engine with Dashboard:

$ yum install http://resources.ovirt.org/pub/yum-repo/ovirt-release-master.rpm
$ yum install ovirt-engine ovirt-engine-dashboard

The feature is ready, except for two gaps:
1. Localization
2. Updating to latest Patternfly

Moving to MODIFIED, although we might use this bug as bug-url for the two above + small issues.
