I am not able to reproduce this bug. Can I get a reproducer case on an available box so I can investigate more?

Other bugs have been fixed involving subscription status here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1321041 so it is possible this has been fixed.

Unable to reproduce this in Satellite 6.2 Beta Snap 16.

All subscription statuses for newly registered (no activation key) hosts are red. See attached screenshot.

Hi jake,

I have also tried but still the problem persists.

Satellite server,

~~~~~~
# rpm -q foreman
foreman-1.11.0.38-1.el7sat.noarch
# rpm -q katello
katello-3.0.0-8.el7sat.noarch
~~~~~~

I have registered the client without any activation key but still the same issue. Moreover, now in subscriptions tab also it is showing the Green status (without any subscription attached). Refer to the attached screenshot.

One thing that I have noticed is, if you don't have any manifest imported on the Satellite server then it will show the Red indicator.

Regards,
Deepannagaraj N.

Subscription Status Green

Comment 18 jcallaha 2016-06-28 18:53:31 UTC
Verified in Satellite 6.2 Beta Snap 17

While registering to a satellite (without activation key), the subscription status is correctly displayed as red. This is even shown when no manifest is active in the system.

Deepannagaraj, it looks like you are on an older version of foreman.

# rpm -q foreman
foreman-1.11.0.39-1.el7sat.noarch
