Description kludhwan 2016-05-30 15:59:39 UTC
Description of problem:

sssd does not resolve host information via ldap

The hosts map is not implemented in sssd because in most deployments the recommended way is to simply use DNS.

But in some high-security deployments it might be preferred to make host names only visible to specific authorized systems. Since e.g. LDAP servers implement fine-grained access control this could be achieved by retrieving LDAP host entries as a host map.

Actual results:

sssd not able to resolve host information via ldap
