Description of enhancement:

If there are problems with uploading the manifest or parameters supplied, request fails with 500 Internal Error.  The next steps involve using the logfiles for diagnosis as to cause.

Enhancement request is to provide more meaningful diagnostic output returned to caller (in HTTP Response).
