Martin, Can you look into this one, please re-assign if someone else can fix it. Thanks, ~Harpreet
Hi Martin, Your questions make sense to me however this is reported from my customer and I don't have a test environment to test. One question for me is that we do support VMRC 8.0.0 am I right ? If so where can I get that so that I can try to build a test environment ? Best Regards, Chen
Ok, Chen. I thought this was a QE report. Let me contact QE guys regarding the testing environment and get back here when I have some more test results.
Rananda, I understood that 5.6 was tested with various versions of IE and windows. Can you, please, create a testing environment with these paremeters (unless you have such): Windows Server 2012 R2(Ver 6.3 / Build 9600) InternetExplorer 11(Ver 11.0.9600.18283 / Ver 11.0.30) VMRC(Ver 8.0.0 / Build 3250412) Also, can you, please, provide instructions for Chen to reproduce if needed?
Ofc the parameters don't have to match 100% let's just try to get close to that. Thx!
Hi Martin / Chen, Yes from QE prospective, we have tested VMRC with various combinations of IE as listed below in CFME 5.6. But till now I have not seen this issue. How ever we donot have the QE environment as mentioned in this, I will try to get one up and running for QE testing to check if this is reproducible. Once I am done with the testing of it, I will update the status of it. QE's test environment: ======================= VMRC ClientIntegration Plugin - 5.5.0 & 6.0 VMRC Remote Console - 5.5.0 & 6.0 IE - 11, 10 Win7 vm I have not seen any failures as such till now. However, I try to setup the above mentioned environment or at least a close one and test it. PS, 1. Chen, can you please check if it is only in this environment that is failing or is it failing in different environment as well?? 2. If in case you want to download the latest plugin here are the links 8.0.1 - https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/details?downloadGroup=VMRC801&productId=491 8.0.0 - https://download.iseage.org/vmware-plugin/ Thanks, Ramesh
Hi David, Sorry I don't have a Web Client environment. But my customer said that they are able to open the VMRC console via the Web Client. Here is the problem: we don't support the VMRC 8.0.0 in CloudForms is that right ? Best Regards, Chen
At this point we don't.
Hi David, >At this point we don't. Thank you for your confirm. Our docs is misleading the customer. It says "CFME has support for versions of VMRC for whatever VMware supports." https://access.redhat.com/articles/1548913 Best Regards, Chen

Environment: Win Server 2012 R2 Datacenter IE11(Version:11.0.9600.18639) VMRC Plugin 9.0 Result: I was able to launch VMRC Console from CFME Appliance and it connected and worked fine. Additional info: Tried with Compatibility mode on and off, both, and it worked fine. In compatibility and security mode (which are recommended settings by Windows), it shows you numerous pop-ups asking "Do you want to continue?", keep saying yes and it will get you the VMRC console eventually.
