Hi, could you update this Bugzilla? Upstream bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/tripleo/+bug/1620647 I looked at the code of t-h-t and the puppet module, we include contrail::vrouter which automatically pulls in contrail::vrouter::config, and that in turn pulls in contrail::vnc_api::vnc_api_config, so i think all the necessary Puppet classes are included, looks like we can just change the hiera settings for them. And all their hiera settings should be already settable via NovaComputeExtraConfig parameter, so this is most probably just about providing good defaults. I've submitted a patch here that sets the vnc_api_lib.ini settings as requested. https://review.openstack.org/#/c/367497/ On my environment vnc_api_lib.ini got created with these contents: [auth] AUTHN_PROTOCOL=http AUTHN_PORT=35357 AUTHN_TYPE=keystone AUTHN_SERVER=192.0.2.14 AUTHN_URL=/v2.0/tokens If needed, those settings are still overridable with hiera fed through NovaComputeExtraConfig. Please let me know in gerrit in case something should be changed/added. (Also it would be good if someone with a Contrail lab could test it end-to-end.) This is now merged: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/367497/ thanks so much. When will be availabe in our repos. It has been merged in time before stable/newton branching out, so it's currently headed into Newton / OSP 10.

Description of problem: Environment Opencontrail is only trying to do provisition of vrouter and he is missing the configuration part. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): openstack-tripleo-heat-templates-0.8.14-11.el7ost.noarch How reproducible: Deploy and check the end configuration or hieradata variable Expected results: call also - contrail::vrouter::config set variable of contrail::vrouter::config and : contrail::vnc_api::vnc_api_config: {[auth] AUTHN_TYPE = keystone AUTHN_PROTOCOL = http AUTHN_SERVER = [VIP-Keystone] AUTHN_PORT = 35357 AUTHN_URL = /v2.0/tokens}
