Description of problem:
I've got a wi-fi card that isn't detected by Kudzu, so I built and
installed the driver kernel modules (.ko files). The card still
doesn't appear in the dropdown of available NIC types when I try to
set it up in the network config utility. Is there something else I
need to do? The card is a Netgear WG311 card (Atheros chipset).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build the driver using make, make install
2. Verify the modules were installed with modprobe -l
3. It doesn't show up in the list of wireless lan types

Comment 1 John Simons 2004-10-06 07:49:55 UTC
I just realized my card is version 2, which doesn't use the chipset I
thought it does, it uses the Texas Instruments chipset. So nevermind,
sorry for cluttering the bug database.
