1. install rhevh 7.2 (20160621.0.el7ev)
2. hosted-engine --add-console-password --password=FOO
3.

Actual results:
cannot set he vm console password

Expected results:
should work

This occurred when doing HE deployment and when I have discovered I could not ssh into HE VM. Anyway, even the VM was not running, the command should not fail like this.

What version of the engine are you using? 
Are you using NGN, RHEL or vintage node? Can you provide the full version?

it is 'vintage' RHEVH.

RHEVH issues should be tracked in its own component in bugzilla.
oVirt 3.6 has reached end of life and no further upgrade will be released on 3.6.
This bug has been found on the equivalent of legacy oVirt Node which is not available anymore in 4.0.

Closing this bug as EOL. Please reopen downstream if still reproducible in 3.6.7.
