Description bednar 2004-10-08 06:28:33 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041002
Firefox/0.10.1

Description of problem:
I choose: linux reiserfs at the start of install. The anaconda show
then reiserfs as additional filesystem. I choose reiserfs for my / and
/home partitions. Then installer stops at formatting step. I try this
3 times with various options. Then I changet fs type to ext3 and the
installer worked properly. Now I have a FC3test2 system on ext3, while
reiserfs works ok with FC2.
I don't know which component caused this.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
FC3test2 installed from official ISOs

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install system FC3test2 from ISO with formatting partitions as reiserfs

Actual Results: Installer stops

Expected Results: Partitions formatted in reiserfs

Additional info:

Toshiba Stallite 1135-S1554 (30 GB HDD, Pentium 4 mobile 2.2, 512 RAM)

For FC3 you *must* also disable selinux for reiser support:

linux reiserfs selinux=0

Note from the src and closing:

reiserfs is totally, 100% unsupported. Boot with "linux reiserfs"
at the boot: prompt will let you make new reiserfs filesystems
in the installer. Bugs filed when you use this will be closed
WONTFIX.
