Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.7.07.1-1.fc24 How reproducible: I'm using par2+s3+http:// backend, but probably others will fail too. I'm not sure which module has a requirement on pexpect, specifically, though. Steps to Reproduce: duplicity par2+s3+http://bucket ~/test Synchronizing remote metadata to local cache... GnuPG passphrase: Copying duplicity-inc.20160630T055216Z.to.20160630T063131Z.manifest.gpg to local cache. Attempt 1 failed. ImportError: No module named pexpect Attempt 2 failed. ImportError: No module named pexpect Attempt 3 failed. ImportError: No module named pexpect Attempt 4 failed. ImportError: No module named pexpect Giving up after 5 attempts. ImportError: No module named pexpect Additional info: Works perfectly fine after installing python2-pexpect, so we probably need a Requires: for that.

Jon, EPEL 7 is failing on Requires: python-pexpect. Are you sure you meant to package version 0.7 into EPEL? It's currently sitting at 0.6.26 (stable) and wasn't expecting that to change. (But would welcome it if it did anyway?, just seems unusual to version bump like that in EPEL) Error: Package: duplicity-0.7.07.1-2.el7.x86_64 (/duplicity-0.7.07.1-2.el7.x86_64) Requires: python-pexpect You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem The F24 package does however correctly bring in python2-pexpect, and works as intended.
I'm sure, I had a previous build in just for the upgrade. Re: python-pexpect, there's a build out there for epel7 but I see that it's not tagged, and this branch is retired. leigh123linux, why was this retired?
I understand, thanks for the clarification. This goes for bug 1336378 as well.

python-pexpect was not allowed to exist in epel7 because there is rhel7 core package, pexpect. Could you fix your dependency to correct package name.
