Description of problem: I'm trying to do a fresh, clean install of Fedora 24 on my netbook as always. Using the net-installer to download & install the XFCE desktop, & not any other desktops or their components. XFCE only. After the long process of installation, I find out that it installs Cinnamon instead of XFCE!!! I went through this process twice, & both times it has the same result. The full Cinnamon desktop is downloaded & installed instead of the full XFCE desktop. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install XFCE using the net-installer. 2. Suffer. 3. Actual results: The full Cinnamon desktop is installed. Expected results: The full XFCE desktop should be installed. Additional info: Nothing wrong was done on my side. This problem is definitely on the server side.
dnf is ignoring the conditional comps flags and then installing cinnamon to satisfy an imsettings dependency. See also bug 1346251. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1336879 ***
