1. Proposed title of this feature request
UID namespaces support
3. What is the nature and description of the request?
By default UIDs get mapped out to high (and only partially predictable) UID numbers. While we are aware that it's possible to change this behavior, we are very interested in the work that's going on for transparent UID mapping with UID namespaces.
4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
Ultimately this work is going to make OpenShift Enterprise more easily consumable by our internal customers as we can have the underlying security of high & non-overlapping UIDs, while not forcing our developers to take them into account (which often results in them doing hacky things like "chmod -R a+rwX")
5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)
6. For each functional requirement listed, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented.
7. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla?

10. List any affected packages or components.
Red Hat is moving OpenShift feature requests to a new JIRA RFE system. This bz (RFE) has been identified as a feature request which is still being evaluated and has been moved.
As the new Jira RFE system is not yet public, Red Hat Support can help answer your questions about your RFEs via the same support case system.
