Verified in 5.6.1.0

I did

request.user_message = ('x' * 255) + 'you should not see this'

in the method.

By the way, there was an important reproduction step missing in this bugzilla as the VM that was executed against must have come to life as CFME provision. It is partially obvious as there is the request involved, but it might lead to needinfo for less experienced QE.
