Description Jan Niklas Hasse 2016-07-15 14:23:16 UTC
Description of problem:
As soon as my RAM is full, my system freezes (e. g. num lock toggle not working). I'm using full disk encryption (selected that during the install) which might have something to do with it. I have a second computer with the same hardware and it doesn't happen there (this one doesn't use full disk encryption).

Previous bug report for Fedora 23: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1335556

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
It crashes with the following kernel:
kernel-4.6.3-300.fc24.x86_64

This kernel version doesn't have the problem:
kernel-4.5.7-300.fc24.x86_64

How reproducible:
Happens every time RAM is full.

Okay I've just tested again with kernel-4.5.7-300.fc24.x86_64 and I was wrong, it also happens there. I've also tried using a swapfile instead of /dev/dm-2, but that doesn't help.

Any help would be very much appreciated as this bug makes it kinda hard to use my PC!

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 24 kernel bugs.

Fedora 24 has now been rebased to 4.7.4-200.fc24. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 25, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 25.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.
