virt-v2v does not provide any option to store the output/traces/debug messages to a log file. Also since the traces are scattered between stdout and stderr one has to first merge the streams to get any useful log (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1364053). Such option would simplify situations when virt-v2v is not run manually from command line, but is used in some other tool.
