Description of problem: After upgrading from 4.6.4-301.fc24 to 4.6.5-300.fc24 my onboard audio device is not initialized anymore. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.6.5-300.fc24.x86_64 How reproducible: My mainboard is a ASUS Z170-D3. I do not use onboard GFX. A Nvidia GTX 950 is built in. Booting 4.6.4 provides working onboard sound. 4.6.5 does not. Actual results: dmesg on 4.6.5-300 shows [ 4.108456] snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1f.3: HSW/BDW HD-audio HDMI/DP requires binding with gfx driver [ 4.109671] snd_hda_intel 0000:01:00.1: Disabling MSI [ 4.109675] snd_hda_intel 0000:01:00.1: Handle vga_switcheroo audio client Expected results: 4.6.4-301 does not show the "requires binding" message. instead the device is initialized showing stuff like: ...
